Thank you for ordering from Villagexchange and supporting Fair Trade as a sustainable means of alleviating poverty. The following are our tax, shipping and returns policies.

Taxes

Product prices reflected on the website are NOT subjected to local Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Shipping Charges for Fair Trade T-shirts

Shipping is free for local deliveries using SingPost non-standard mail services. However, charges may be applied for delivery to restricted areas and offshore islands as defined by SingPost.

General Ordering and Delivery Information

Please note that all delivery times indicated are estimates. Delivery times may vary depending on customs clearance, delays in the destination country, missed or cancelled despatches.

All orders entered online will receive an order confirmation email from us and no other notification will be sent.

Any change of delivery instructions, e.g. recipient’s name, address, greetings or other information; must reach us within the same day and before 6 pm (our order processing cut-off time).  Otherwise, we will not be able to guarantee the change.

For cases where our logistics provider has to resend items due to the wrong recipient’s address indicated by a customer, repacking and / or redelivery fees may incur.  These additional fees may be twice (2X) the original delivery charges.

The weight of packing materials will be included in the calculation of total shipping weight.

Local Delivery Information for Other Products (except T-shirts)

For delivery to restricted areas, an additional S$5 will be charged.  Restricted areas apply to following areas:- Changi Airfreight Centre (Airline Road), Jurong Island, Jurong Port, PSA Terminals/Wharves (Tanjong Pagar, Pasir Panjang, Brani, Keppel, Sembawang (Deptford Road), etc).  At present we do not deliver to any offshore island.

International Delivery Information

At present our online shop does not cater for international delivery. Please email us at info@villagexchange.org for international purchase, delivery and payment details.

Stock Availability

We cannot guarantee that every item offered online will be shipped right away as inventory can change significantly from day to day. In rare cases, an item may be in stock when you place your order and sold out by the time your order is processed. However, for any item which you have ordered online and is found to be sold out at the time of processing, we will inform you by email and remove the item from your order.

In cases when we are unable to contact a customer who has made a purchase and requested for “Next Day Delivery”, we reserve the right to substitute any item with another of equivalent or higher value.

Cancellation of Order

We appreciate any cancellation of order to reach us within the same day of ordering and before 6 pm (our order processing cut-off time), otherwise we are not able to guarantee the cancellation, especially if the item has been picked up by our logistics provider.

Any indent order for special products (non-stock product) exceeding S$100 of value is subject to a cancellation fee of 30% on the total amount of the order.

Payment

We are accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal as electronic payment modes. You can send us a cheque issued to “Villagexchange Fair Trade Pte Ltd ” and post it to our business address below. Delivery will be made upon our receipt and the cheque’s clearance.

Return Policy

For all returns issues, you may call or email us for arrangements. The following is our return policy for different products:

Standard Products: To ensure our customers’ confidence and satisfaction, you may return any product within 2 weeks from the purchase date.

Indent products: Non-stock products are specially ordered based on customer purchases, and will be carefully inspected to ensure good condition.  However we will accept returns for indent items below S$50 at no charge. For indent items of value S$100 and above, you will be required to pay a return fee equivalent to 30% of value of return product(s).

Others: We exercise utmost care in handling our products. However if for any reason you feel that the product purchased is unsatisfactory, you may return the product within 14 days, along with your proof of purchase and the cost of goods return will have to be borne by us.

In case you receive any defective products, you may opt for a replacement of the same product (subject to stock availability), a different product of the same value, or opt for full refund of your payment.

All refunds will be by a cheque payable to you from Villagexchange Fair Trade Pte Ltd. Cheques will be issued and mailed to you within 14 days from the returned date.
